Graduaction Project
Lost in GAYA!
UE5 3D animation
2022 Busan

Thanks to my stubborn and hardworking self!
That year, I studied for a degree in 3D Animation and VFX Engineering at a software integration academy in a Korean school. I spent a year learning the traditional 3D animation production process, but when it came to the final project team formation, all my classmates conservatively stuck to the 3D techniques they had learned, mainly focusing on the traditional MAYA 3D animation workflow. I chose to skip teamwork and challenge myself to self-learn UE5 and new software, completing the graduation project with a real-time rendering pipeline. It was pretty tough, but from then on I realized that this is part of my character that I shouldn’t erase—curiosity and problem-solving. But I won't do it again, because that year I basically could only sleep 5 hours a day, and working 16-hour days made my eyesight get worse by 200 degrees in one year, and I was only 19. Since then, I’ve put my health first and taken better care of myself.
